The second National Book Week was held in November 1976 with the theme “Children’s Literature and Libraries”. A symposium on the subject was also held, with papers read by Trevor Żahra, Victor Fenech and Joseph Schiro’ at the National Library in Valletta. The Annual Report read on 17th December 1976 makes reference to “the publication of A Bibliography of Children’s Literature in Malta, 1966-76, which was commissioned from Victor Fenech” (vide Malta Library Association Yearbook 1977). Now largely outdated, the bibliography is still regarded as a take-off on the subject.
